Our Youth Writer Contest Has Been Closed. Want to Know Who Won? Stay Tuned!
In the month of June, New York Times Best Seller and Tacoman, Marissa Meyer will be our guest emcee and reader. We think this is an awesome opportunity to host a YA themed reading event highlighting authors of shorts for the teens and teen writers themselves.
This is a fabulous opportunity for us at Creative Colloquy to connect with South Sound youth, students and scribes. Mentor or know a teen interested in such an opportunity?
Here are the details:
◦ Creative Colloquy is inviting students (ages 13-18) to submit their creative-fiction short stories to firstname.lastname@example.org. Word count to not exceed 2000 words (making it ideal to perform live).
◦ These stories will be read and “judged” by myself founder of Creative Colloquy, Editor at Large at CC and local author Joshua Swainston and New York Times Best Selling author of the Lunar Chronicles Marissa Meyer.
◦ One student will be chosen as “winner” and featured on our site, creativecolloquy.com with an opportunity to read their story on June 30th, 7 pm at B Sharp Coffee House and will be handsomely rewarded with a signed copy of one of Marissa Meyers books.
◦ All entries must be received by Monday, June 16th for consideration.
