The Writer's Workshop Series presents Katerina's Poetry Workout

Writing exceptional poetry takes a little bit of determination, a modicum of skill, and a tremendous amount of work! In this communal workshop, writers will explore the poetic process through intense writing exercises. Whether you are an experienced poet or new to the genre, you will find something in this workshop that will help you get your poems in shape. We will practice with meditative creativity exercises, pre-writing, and team writing prompts. You will also jump into drafting, revising and editing. It will be two hours of creativity and solid activity.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Katerina Canyon is an award-winning poet and speaker living in Northeast Seattle, Washington. She served as Poet Laureate of Sunland-Tujunga, California from 2001 to 2004.
